On the 23rd May, we went somewhere we’ve never been before: space. Well, sort of.
To celebrate the 35th birthday of the all-time classic game, Pac-Man, and in conjunction with Sony Pictures’ upcoming film Pixels, we worked with Spinnaker London to 3D print a model of Pac-Man and a birthday cake and send it to the stratosphere.
Attached to a helium balloon and with an accompanying Go-Pro camera to capture the ascent, the 3D printed model reached the height of a commercial airliner in just 30 minutes, and the height of the stratosphere in 90, resulting in some truly captivating footage.
The film comes hits cinemas on July 24.
