Brief
BBC Studios & Post Production (BBC S&PP) approached INITION with a requirement for a solution which would effectively transform a 2x6m LED wall into a touchscreen for the BBC’s live coverage of the UK General Election on May 7.
Solution
Taking into account the considerable size of the LED wall, and the necessity for an accurate and reliable solution suitable for a live coverage environment, as well as the rejection of the tungsten light in the studio, INITION selected the RadarTouch system as the optimum solution for the requirements.
Results
The RadarTouch system was mounted below the screen, and was virtually invisible to the viewer, the resulting effect faultless for the duration of the coverage.
