Creative 3D technology company Inition, is marking its 10th year anniversary with a new brand identity, a website re-launch and a series of creative films that demonstrate the breadth of its expertise and knowledge in ‘all things 3D.
Inition’s new identity, created by design agency Imagist, features an evolving particle system that comes together to form various shapes including a cube. The fluid visual identity represents the ecletic nature of Inition’s 3D business including interactive 3D production, 3D technology sales, and creative services including 3D filming, 3D printing and 3D scanning services.
The First 10 years
Inition launched in London in 2001 and has since opened offices in Melbourne, as well as collaborating on two new joint ventures – 3D retail technology specialist Holition, and Pointy Stick, a unique creative first 3D film production company. Over the past decade Inition has succeeded in co-producing the UK’s first live 3D broadcast to a domestic 3D TV as well as winning awards for producing O2’s live 3D cinema broadcast of the RBS Six Nations games. Other highlights include Inition’s ground breaking augmented reality work with Dare for BMWs Z4 launch campaign and producing the world’s largest interactive live audience car game for Top Gear Live’s world tour.
Future of 3D
To celebrate this ten year milestone Inition has started a series of internal projects designed to inspire creativity and highlight their uniquely broad 3D expertise. The first in the “Future of 3D” series is a fun 3D film sequence featuring Stereoscopic Display Consultant Shannon Dowsing. Shannon was scanned and then turned into a CAD model before being 3D printed. The resulting 3 dimensional head was then rigged with explosives and blown up into a thousand particles – with its final moments captured in super slow-motion stereoscopic 3D.
