Inition is a multidisciplinary production company with a finely-tuned blend of technological and creative capabilities. We harness emerging technologies to create unique and memorable interactive experiences for live events, exhibitions, outdoor, experiential, digital and retail installations. We’re proud of our 12-year track record of seeking out and exploiting new technologies for creative communications before they hit the mainstream... We’ve been augmenting reality since 2006, printing in 3D since 2005, and creating virtual realities since 2001.

From our Shoreditch studios, complete with our 2000 sq ft Demo Studio showcasing our work and bristling with the latest tech, our team are uniquely positioned to leverage futuristic technology with traditional creative process to create experiences that engage, enlighten and entertain.

Our unique Demo Studio hosts 3D printers and scanners, holographic, immersive and 3D displays, gesture, haptic and motion tracking devices, all under one roof, providing clients hands-on experience and a hotbed for ideas.

Inition’s production capability is underpinned by our relationship with a wide range of cutting-edge technology partners. We are an independent reseller of advanced 3D and interactive technologies and provide expert advice and delivery of technology-based solutions to a wide range of educational, AEC, automotive, medical and research laboratory clients.

Our diverse portfolio and client list include top agencies (Ogilvy, Photosound, Dare, AKQA), brands (Jaguar, Shell, LG, Samsung, Epson, O2 and the BBC) and live shows (Top Gear Live, The Gadget Show Live, Starlight Express).

Stuart Cupit / Co-founder & Director

Stuart Cupit has over 20 years experience running successful high tech businesses. Co-founding Inition in 2001, Stuart has a wealth of experience in business development and bringing high tech solutions to market. At a board level, Stuart directs Inition's Experiential Productions division of in-house producers, 3D artists and software developers. A graduate in computer science, Stuart's native understanding of software development, digital media and graphic design enables Inition to deliver the very best experiential content by blending cutting edge technology and creative design.
Stuart also sits on the board of Inition's sister company Holition, specialising in Augmented Reality “try on” solutions.

Jim Gant / Co-founder & Director

Jim graduated from Birmingham University with a degree in Computer Science and after a successful career with a Virtual Reality company, moved on to co-found Inition.

He is now focussed on running a successful and growing business. At board level, Jim directs the sales, financial and commercial aspects of the business, and on a day to day basis oversees the 3D Technologies division. Jim continues to invest in himself, completing various courses most recently the highly regarded Business Growth Program at Cranfield University.

Andy Millns / Co-founder & Director

Andy has over 15 years experience as a creative technologist specialising in stereoscopic and interactive 3D production.

Andy is one of the UK's leading experts in stereoscopic 3D filming with experience across a diverse range of genres spanning music, fashion, sport, wildlife, commercials, CGI and live multi-camera broadcast to cinema and TV. Andy also has a broad ranging skillset and knowledge covering all Inition's major production areas including augmented and virtual reality, gestural and other novel interfaces, large screen visualisation, haptics, tracking, 3D printing and scanning.

Andy is a founder member of Inition (formed in 2001) where he has produced a number of ground-breaking stereoscopic and interactive 3D projects. Andy heads the stereoscopic production team and works across our Experiential Production department.

In 2008 Andy conceived and technically produced the first ever live 3D transmission via Sky's network featuring Keane at Abbey Road Studios and in Spring 2010 produced live 3D transmissions of England’s home RBS Six Nations rugby matches for O2, watched by over 18,000 people in 40 sell-out cinemas nationwide making it Europe’s largest ever audience for a live 3D transmission. In 2010, Inition won the first BTAA 3D cinema advertising award for their work on the Cadbury’s Zingolo commercial.

Andy was the technical producer and lead stereographer on a pioneering wildlife shoot in Kenya with renowned Wildlife film-makers Deeble and Stone. This shoot was supported by the BBC Natural History Unit and was their first foray into shooting 3D in the wild.

Inition’s 3D expertise and camera equipment have most recently been deployed on LG’s ‘Rare Butterflies’ Commercial for FrameStore, Sony’s Wimbledon 3D commercial, Epson’s Manchester United promo and a number of 3D brand films for Unilever’s TIGI brand.

Andy has run workshops and spoken about 3D production at events around the World including IBC, NAB, BAFTA and the BBC NHU. He has run stereoscopic training courses for The BBC, Ravensbourne College, The National Film and Television School and The European Patent Office.

In 2009 Andy and Inition developed (with partners NuMedia) and launched the widely-used StereoBrain Processor unit and the StereoBrain Calculator a tool to help in pre-production planning for stereoscopic shoots.

Christopher Sutton / Co-founder - Inition / Founder & Director - Inition Asia Pacific

During the 20 years in which Chris has worked at the forefront of the creative 3D industries, he has developed and designed new products, brought new technologies to market and managed projects that have been delivered to some of the world's top brands.
With a background in life sciences and a Masters in Computer Graphics, he has gone on to specialise in various fields including medical simulation, 3D scanning, 3D display technologies, motion capture, and interactive content. As one of the original founders of Inition, and with such a diverse range of experience and skills Chris has been ideally placed to take on the role of growing Inition's presence in the rapidly developing Asia Pacific market. Based in Melbourne, Chris has rapidly established Inition Asia Pacific as one of the regions most experienced companies in a diverse portfolio of technologies. With work already completed on several stereoscopic feature films, a client list that includes the regions most respected corportions, universities, government organisations and marketing agencies and a 3 story facility in central Melbourne, Chris is now focused on further expanding the companies capabilities and scope.
